Currently Resident Pianist at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and at le Grand Bellevue in Gstaad, Switzerland, American Al Copley builds upon more than 50 years as a professional musician, continuing to develop as a pianist, singer, bandleader, orchestrator, songwriter and arranger. Working in both America and Europe over the course of his career, Al Copley has worked with blues legends that range from Etta James and BB King at the Montreux Jazz Festival, to Jimmy Witherspoon, Jimmie Vaughan, and John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd (The original Blues Brothers.) A Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame member, he began his career performing extensively as a driving force behind the respected American jump band Roomful of Blues and since 1984 as a solo musician, opening on the main stage for Eric Clapton, BB King, Bob Dylan at the Montreux Jazz Festival and performing regularly in NYC and Paris. he was recently included in the Broadway Jazz Festival at St Peter's Jazz Church (church of Duke Ellington) in Manhattan with 40 other mostly Broadway artists.

In addition to releasing multiple albums with Roomful of Blues, Al Copley has appeared on recordings with artists such as Lou Rawls and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. In addition, he has released multiple collections of solo piano recordings (The Summer Wind Series) and recorded albums with his band such as Jump on It, Radio Play and Beach Ball Blast. He also recorded an album "Al Copley and the Fabulous Thunderbirds" called "Good Understanding."
